She’s very blonde and very cute, but supermodel Heidi Klum won’t be spoken down to. The multi-talented entertainer and entrepreneur has made herself a giant of the media industry – with accomplishments that range from fashion guru to executive producer of hit reality franchise, Project Runway. Heidi Klum has become one of the globe’s biggest stars.

And in November, she’ll be playing host to the 2012 MTV EMA, held in Frankfurt’s historic Festhalle.

On being placed front and centre at MTV’s 19th annual EMA, she says, “I’m honoured to host the (show) on its return to my home country of Germany. The MTV EMA is one of the biggest nights in global music, fashion and culture, and I’m thrilled to play a part in bringing this one-of-a-kind show to audiences all over the world.  We’re going to have a blast!”

Klum was born and raised in Bergisch Gladbach, just outside Frankfurt. In 1992, she beat 25,000 contestants to the title of Model 92, a national modeling competition which saw her winning a contract worth US$ 300,000 from Thomas Zeumer, CEO of Metropolitan Models New York. She is a massively successful TV host and has been made some of the world’s most famous magazine cover shoots.  She recently divorced from superstar singer, Seal.

The 2012 MTV EMA will broadcast on MTV (DStv Channel 130) on Sunday 11 November at 22:00 CAT and on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) on Monday 12 November at 21:00 CAT.
