X-Men: First Class
Marvel movie roundup
Movie review: X-Men: First Class
Four of the weirdest X-Men

One thing we love about the X-Men is the fact that their powers and abilities are so vast, that, quite literally, anything is possible in their universe.
Some of the weirdest X-Men to have graced the pages of Marvel comics really push the boundaries of what is possible.
Take
Maggot
, for example. This dude has a mutated digestive system that takes the form of two giant maggots that can eat anything.
If you think that’s weird, consider
Eye-Scream
. He has the ability, wait for it, to turn into ice cream. Most of the time he just melts into a puddle of grossness so he isn’t all that useful when a fight is going on.
Bling!
has bone marrow that produces diamonds that she shoots at people. It also makes her invulnerable.
You want weirder?
Glob Herman
has skin and muscles made from transparent wax so you can see his skeleton and organs. He’s quite strong and highly flammable.
Can you think of others?
If you like the X-Men, Sunday night’s blockbuster on M-Net and M-Net HD is
X-Men: First Class
(Sun 1 Jul at 20:05)
– which is probably the best X-Men movie to come from Marvel. And if you want more X-Men, you can also catch
X2
this month on MM2.
