A matriarch in her own right, Kris Jenner is credited as the driving force behind the success of her family. From facing the wrath of gossip columns to just being a mother and grandmother, it's all in a day's work for Kris.

Here's what the momager has to say about season seven of the hit reality show: Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

What can we expect from Season 7?

There is so much going on. We’re still in the middle of shooting and it's crazy stuff. The family relationships are changing and Kourtney’s pregnant. Kourtney loved giving birth to Mason and she can’t wait to give birth to her daughter.

What is your favourite on-screen moment so far?

When Khloe got married. Her and Lamar are so in love. She picked the perfect guy and they’re so happy. When you’re around them you feel it. That and when Mason was born.

Do you have any regrets from the show?

I have no regrets at all. We’ve been so open as a family and that’s why we’ve had so much success. We’ve just been ourselves and forgotten about the cameras.

Do you think you sometimes reveal too much on the show, especially talking about sex?

Talking about sex makes some people very uncomfortable. But my kids are so comfortable in their own skin. I don’t think it’s a problem, as long as it’s in good taste.

Before you started the show, did you ever think it would become the phenomenal success it is today?

We never dreamed the show would be as successful as it is, and we’re all still so excited about being part of a show as a family. We’re a big family, with an unusual dynamic and people find us interesting. Before we started the show, all my friends said "you guys should have a show" and so we thought, why not? We have a show where we don’t have scripts and you never know what’s going to happen. It’s exciting and fun.

You’re so successful. Have you always been so driven and motivated?

Yes, I’ve always been very driven. I’m very creative whether it’s as a mom, organising the parties and the holidays, or making things for the family. Ultimately my drive spilled into other aspects of my life, and I feel blessed. I have a good team. I learned I couldn’t do it all by myself.

What’s the secret of your success?

For many years of my life I was a housewife and mom, soccer coach and brownie leader, you know, a full time hands on mom. I was married to Robert Kardashian who was such a great business man and he had such great associates and I learned by osmosis about business. So when I met Bruce Jenner I had the most amazing experience being his manager.

How do you find being the driving force of the family?

We’re a big family operation and someone needs to dive the train. I love being the conductor and working with my family.

You’re momager to your children, how do they feel about being managed by their mother?

I love working with my children and feel very blessed to able to work with my family. We all have similar ideas and have the same passions and loves in life and in business. Of course we argue, but that’s a family dynamic. I provide opportunities for my kids, but they’re the ones that have to do the work, so it’s up to them. There’s very little that you can force your children to do if they’re over five years old.

How do you find managing Kendall and Kylie and their careers?

It’s exactly the same as my other children, there must be a balance. Education must come first. My husband is a stickler for this. Education is everything. But I taught my children how to communicate so they will tell us if something is wrong in their education. Kendall and Kylie have their freedom, they ride horses, they have lots of friends and everyone hangs out at our house so we know where they all are and what they’re doing.

What life lessons have you taught your children?

Robert and I tried to give the best we could to our children, the only way we knew how. We taught our children that God comes first, family second and everything else third, and it will all fall into place. We’re extremely blessed in life, in family and friendships.

Do your children teach you anything?

I learn something from my children every single day.

Are you aware that you and your family are role models?

My family have millions of fans on social media, but the most special moments are the letters and emails we receive from people saying we’ve helped, encouraged or inspired them in some way. That we’ve changed someone’s life in some way. That’s mind blowing and makes me so happy.

Does the bad press have a negative impact on you and your family?

We all work so hard, we don’t have time to get caught up in the tabloids and silly press. We’re filming, we’re traveling, we’re working. But you have to have a tough skin. It’s the nature of the business. But I think you have to wake up every day with a positive attitude and be happy.

Is religion important to you?

Religion has always been important, since the day my kids were born. I have a strong faith in God. It’s a rock when you go through anything, both the ups and the downs. I get great comfort knowing my children have a relationship with God.

What are your thoughts on surgery?

I think everyone does something for different reasons. Surgery is such a personal experience. I don’t like to judge anyone. The best thing I’ve ever done was have my surgery, as I felt so much more confident after.

How do you keep in shape?

I train with Gunner Peterson three times a week. He believes someone with curves is sexy and keeps me age appropriate. He’s realistic. I’m lucky to be married to a man who loved me just the way I am. That gives you super confidence. I’m a lucky girl.

And what about your diet?

When I met Bruce he taught me the 80:20 rule. 80 percent of the time you eat really well, and 20 percent of the time you eat what you want and have fun. I have just had a pizza oven installed in my house – it’s a problem!

You’ve been married to Bruce for over twenty years, what’s the secret to a happy relationship?

The most important thing in a relationship is trust. You have to follow your heart and be with someone who makes you happy. Marry your best friend. I am blessed to be married to Bruce. We live a fun filled and exciting life. We have new experiences together especially traveling, and we’ve been through a lot together. Bruce gets up every day excited about life.

Do you feel more confident the older you get?

I’m more comfortable in my own skin the older I get. I think being sexy is an attitude and how you present yourself to the world.

You and your family are in the media nearly every day. What’s the most ridiculous story you’ve ever read?

That Robert Kardashian wasn’t Khloe’s dad. It was just so ridiculous, that I left the cameras rolling so people could see the truth.

What’s next for Kris Jenner?

I’m taking it one step at a time. I have my clothes line, Kris Jenner Collection, on QVC. I’m on baby watch at the moment and can’t wait for Kourtney’s baby to be born, and I’m enjoying being a grandmother to Mason. We all have so much energy and we’re satisfied with our lives. I feel as though we always have something new and exciting to look forward to.
