Meet Menelaos. This boytjie from Brakpan is proud of his Greek heritage. “Like all Greeks,” he says “I’m loud, I’m podgy, I’m fun and I love good food!”

Unlike Anne-Marie, Menelaos sees himself as a bit of a diplomat. “If food’s not tasty, I’ll still say it’s the best so as not to hurt your feelings.” But he draws the line when it comes to hygiene “If things aren’t clean, I don’t eat the food” he says.


A lover of music, wine and good vodka, Menelaos’s ideal dinner party entertainment would be “a live band”, while his worst Come Dine With Me Nightmare would be to run out of food.
