Meet Jo-Anne. Another contestant from Johannesburg’s southern suburbs, fairy-loving Jo-Anne is guaranteed never to show up empty handed. “I’m well-mannered… I always bring a nice gift,” she says.

But her manners don’t necessarily extend to dinner-party conversation. When it comes to her worst trait, “I speak my mind” she says simply.

Despite a dislike for tripe and a fear that she’ll be forced to eat something she doesn’t like, Jo-Anne isn’t afraid to mix it up in the kitchen, describing her cooking style as “unique”, which is not necessarily a good thing.
