Aspiring choirs or singers who would like to join a choir are encouraged to make their way to The Dance Factory on Henry Nxumalo Street in Newtown, Johannesburg on Saturday, 10 November and Sunday, 11 November from 11am to 6pm for the Gauteng leg of the audition phase.
The celebrity Gauteng choirmaster will be at the Dance Factory scouting for the best choirs and individual singers to make up his ultimate super choir. At the auditions each choir or singer will take to the stage and perform an a capella (without accompaniment) song of their choice, after which the Choir Master will select the best singers for his choir.
The successful choir – which will represent the Gauteng province – will receive celebrity coaching and ultimately compete with six other celebrity headed choirs from other provinces in a winner takes all battle for a R250 000 grand prize for the charity of their choice.
“This show is going to provide a platform for choirs from all walks of life to experience working with some of our biggest musical icons.
