Charlize Theron is a woman of many faces and easily morphs into her characters as soon as she’s signed to the productions.

It’s understandable since she easily transformed ‘straight out of Benoni’ into an American actress with a fitting accent too. She even went as far as changing pronunciation of her last name.

But this former Miss Benoni has lived through other notable transformations which made us take a second look to make sure it was really the original Afrikaans girl.

The spoilt brat Mavis Gary in Young Adult has Charlize looking like a wannabe Paris Hilton in the heydays of The Simple Life. Wide sunglasses? Check! Designer handbag? Check! Velour Sweats? Check! Small dog living in another handbag? Check! It’s in Young Adult (now showing on BoxOffice) where we see Charlize as the high school Queen Bee who left her small town, Minneapolis in Minnesota but forgot to grow up and is stuck in the past.

Mavis tries to rekindle her relationship with her high school sweetheart despite the minor details that he is happily married and has a baby.

From a bratty queen bee and back to her Academy Award winning role as Aileen Wuornos in Monster, Charlize managed to transform her pretty girl looks.

She played the role of a serial killer who preyed on truck drivers and was sentenced to death by lethal injection in 2002. What did Charlize do to play the role? Besides the help of colour lenses and prosthetic teeth, Charlize did what we normal folks do…she ate!

She played a monster. Could Charlize be an alien?

Dirt was still the look for Charlize in her next movie, North Country where she acted as a miner. She embodied the role of Josey, a woman who is mistreated and harassed at her workplace because of her supposed promiscuous past. Charlize’s character fights for the implementation of a sexual harassment policy in the workplace.

Then Charlize cleaned up well in Hancock when she reclaimed her blonde bombshell glory as Mary, opposite Will Smith. She showed how a woman with superhuman powers can look hot while being angry with a former flame.

“Picasso had his blue period, and this is my b***h period”, said Charlize while at the Wondercon convention of her Snow White and the Huntsman’s role as Queen Ravenna, the evil step mother. Charlize perfected the role of the Evil Queen and upstaged her co-star Kristen Stewart.

Don’t get too comfortable with her perfect platinum locks and flawless make-up just yet. Charlize was spotted with a buzz cut for her latest role in Mad Max: Fury Road currently being shot in Namibia. There’s no stopping Miss Theron as she morphs into her numerous roles and adds to her many faces.
