As you know, we experienced some problems with the BoxOffice service. One of our core systems in processing BoxOffice requests malfunctioned this weekend. Our engineering teams are working around the clock to resolve the problem. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused our subscribers. We have implemented an interim solution to process rental requests to ensure that subscribers can continue to enjoy BoxOffice. We will advise when the problem is resolved.

Should you not be able to view your movie within 30 minutes of your initial request, we ask you to please start the rental process again. Thank you for your understanding during this time.


FAQs

I rented a BoxOffice movie, but the movie is not available for viewing?

• You will need to sign up before you can rent a BoxOffice movie.
• If you have received confirmation of your sign up via SMS - you’re ready to rent BoxOffice movies.
• If you have not received confirmation of your sign up, please SMS your smartcard number to 37569 to sign up for BoxOffice.
• If you sent the rental request more than 30 minutes ago, the rental code will have expired. Please return to the BoxOffice screen, press OK on the movie you want to rent, follow the steps and SMS the new rental code to us on 37569.
• The movie will become available for viewing within 30 minutes and an onscreen message will confirm that your BoxOffice rental has been successful.
• If the movie does not become available within 30 minutes, please generate a new rental code (by following the steps above) and SMS to us on 37569. Unsuccessful rentals will not be billed.

I rented multiple times without success over the weekend – have I lost out on the free movie?
No, the first movie will still be free. If when checking your bill online you believe that you have been incorrectly billed, please don’t hesitate to call our BoxOffice Contact Centre (have your smartcard number handy).

Help! The Rental History screen shows that I will be charged for the same movie multiple times.
Please note that the Rental History screen accessed by pressing BLUE on the BoxOffice screen is not a reflection of your account and instead, lists ALL rental codes ever generated. Even if a rental has been unsuccessful, the rental code generated will still be listed on this screen. The information on this screen is vital should you get billed for a movie which was not made available for viewing on your PVR.
