Sibling rivalry in Hollywood is not your run-of-the-mill squabbling like fighting for the remote or not returning a borrowed item of clothing. Instead, Tinseltown siblings compete for the entertainment spotlight.

Here are a few of television’s most famous siblings.

Kevin Dillon (Entourage and How to be a Gentleman, Saturdays at 19:30 on M-Net Series) and Matt Dillon.


Before Entourage Kevin Dillon was known mostly for being Matt Dillon’s less successful brother, but we now see more of him than Matt.

Alec Baldwin (30 Rock, Tuesdays at 20:00 on M-Net Series, also available on DStv OnDemand) and brothers


The dark-haired blue-eyed Alec Baldwin is the best known of the Baldwin brothers. While the actor is famous on big and small screens, his brothers (Stephen Baldwin, William Baldwin and Daniel Baldwin) are better known for being his siblings than for their screen roles.

John and Joan Cusack (Shameless, Wednesdays, 22:30 on M-Net and M-Net HD)


John Cusack is famously private yet he’s earned the reputation of being one of Hollywood’s greatest. His sister is a close runner up with many quirky roles under her belt.

You may not know that the pair have three other siblings, Susie, Bill and Ann who are also actors.

Chad Lowe (Pretty Little Liars, Saturdays at 21:30 on M-Net Series) and Rob Lowe (Parks and Recreation, Saturdays at 18:30 on M-Net Series, Brothers & Sisters)


80s heartthrob, Rob Lowe doesn’t seem to age. While he gets most of his role as a hottie, his younger brother Chad is a more subtle brand. As an actor, director and producer, Chad is well-known for being Hilary Swank’s ex and the “dad” on M-Net Series’ Pretty Little Liars.

Andrew, Owen and Luke Wilson (Enlightenment)


Owen Wilson is the oldest of three actor siblings and needs no introduction. The middle child, Andrew is not as well known but we recently saw the equally funny Luke as the drug-addicted ex-husband in the Golden-Globe winning Enlightenment. 

Patricia Arquette (Medium), David Arquette and Rosanna Arquette


Patricia and her siblings started acting at a young age and have maintained consistency in the industry. David has been in the spotlight recently for his break-up from Cougar Town’s Courtney Cox.

We know Patricia form M-Net Series’ Medium and Rosanna was a regular on Curb your Enthusiasm.

Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men) and Emilio Estevez


Charlie Sheen was born Carlos Irwin Estévez and he’s the only one of his siblings to denounce his Spanish roots and adopt a different name for Hollywood.

While he was a hit on Two and a Half Men, people are more interested in his drug-induced downfall. His famous brother, Emilio, is more popular as a director

Emily Deschanel (Bones) and Zooey Deschanel (New Girl)


These two look-a-like sisters made it to the top with influences from their famous parents, an Academy Award-nominated cinematographer and an actress.

Younger sister Zooey started out in movies and made a successful turn to television in New Girl. Emily is best known for her role on Bones.
