Social networks were blazing for the finale of Idols Season 8, with passionate Twitter users tweeting their support for the top two finalists, Khaya Mthethwa and Melissa Alison.

But while the force was strong with Melissa, it was Khaya fever that really started taking over the twittersphere, and #TeamKhaya was trending in South Africa well before it was announced that the winner of this year's Idols was none other than Khaya himself!
